When you use the resort airline checkin and check your luggage with them does your luggage leave for the airport before you? How does that work?

Hi Amanda! The Resort Airline Check-In service is so convenient!  I'm an over-packer whose suitcase usually weighs 50 pounds so I love that I can hand my heavy luggage over at my Disney resort instead of trying to lug it to the airport myself. The Resort Airline Check-In service allows you to receive your flight boarding pass and check your luggage at the resort instead of at the airport. Once you check your bag, you won't see it again until your home airport. Your bags must be checked at least three hours before your flight and the Resort Airline Check-In desk is generally open only until 1 p.m.. In most cases your luggage travels to the airport separately from you, and while I'm not sure if our bags leave before or after we board the Magical Express to the airport, I know they're always magically waiting for us on our flight's baggage claim carousel when we arrive home.

Since you won't see your bags again until you arrive home, be sure to keep any items you need in your carry-on bag. You can check your carry-on items with bell services at your hotel while you visit the park on the last day of your vacation and then pick them up before you board the Magical Express to head to the airport.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
