    Laura from FL Asked

Can I use FL resident weekday select pass to park free on a weekend?

Hi, Laura! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's always a pleasure to chat with a fellow Floridian!

One of the things I love about living in the Sunshine State is all the options we have when it comes to buying tickets or passes to Walt Disney World. There really is something for just about every family and every budget. And there are lots of perks to being a Passholder as well, including complimentary Theme Park parking for all levels of Annual Passes.

To answer your question, I called Disney Guest Relations and spoke to a Cast Member to verify how the free parking benefit works on Weekday Select Passes, and here's what I found out. It appears that Florida Resident Weekday Select Annual Passholders do not receive complimentary parking at the Theme Parks on weekends, as the pass is designed to be used only on weekdays. When the Annual Pass card is presented and scanned at the parking entrance plaza, the system will direct the Cast Member there to collect the daily parking fee.

Laura, your Florida Resident Weekday Select Annual Pass is a practically perfect option for visiting on the less-crowded days of the week, and you do get many of the other perks of being a Passholder. Be sure to check out Disney's Passholder Guide for 2019 - it lists all of the benefits you get as a Passholder, and offers a visual comparison of the perks available for each pass. You might even want to bookmark it on your phone and refer to it in the Parks so you never miss out on a discount!

I hope this helps you plan your Disney days, Laura. Please come back and see us again real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
