    Jacquelyn from MA Asked

Can a FL resident ticket be activated at resort guest services? Will we need the paper ticket or is the confirmation number sufficient? Thanks!

Hi Jacquelyn and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve brought us a great question about Florida Resident tickets.

Living near the happiest place on earth, the Walt Disney World Resort, has its perks! Among them are discounted rates on the Disney Resort hotels and theme park tickets. As a Florida Resident myself, the lower rates help make it an easy and affordable weekend escape for my family.

Jacquelyn, when it comes to verifying your Florida Residency, you can visit any Guest Relations or theme park ticket window at any of the four theme parks and the welcome center at Disney Springs. Your best bet is to bring your confirmation paperwork with you, but all they would really need is your confirmation number and a valid form of ID and the Cast Member will be happy to get everything squared away for you.

Resort guest services would not be able to help you with your tickets, but they are able to help you with special requests for your accommodations and they can tell you about all of the amenities available to you during your stay.

A good thing to know is, while you must show your ID to be able to use your Florida Resident tickets for the first time, that won’t stop you from making your FastPass+ selections before your visit!

I hope I’ve given you the information you need to continue your planning. Have a magical visit!
