    David Asked

We just reserved our vacation in June and are staying at the Coronado Springs in a standard room. The place looks so big on the map, can you help us in figuring out which part of the resort to request?

    Hi David,

I really enjoy Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It's the first place that my husband and I ever stayed at Walt Disney World, so it holds a special place in my heart. I love the theme of the American Southwest and Spanish-Colonial Mexico. I agree, it is a big resort, but it's a fun one.

Where you chose to request a room depends on what is important to you and your family. Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is split into three sections: the Casitas, the Ranchos, and the Cabanas. The Casitas are brightly-colored and look like they might be found in a city. The Casitas are close to the lobby, restaurants and shopping. The closest to all of this is Casita 1. The Ranchos have more of a desert Southwest theme, and are farther away from the main area, but are the closest to the main swimming pool facility, with Rancho 7B being the closest to the main pool. The Cabanas, which are like cabanas on a Mexican beach, circle back around toward the main area of the resort. Depending on where you are in the Cabanas, you may be quite near to restaurants, the lobby and shops (Cabana 9B) or a short walk to the main pool (Cabana 8A). Disney's Coronado Springs Resort offers multiple bus stops because it is so large.  To be closest to a bus stop, you might consider Casita 4, Rancho 6A, or Cabana 8A or 8B.

Please do bear in mind that if you request a certain location, it is only a request. Disney will do their best to honor your request, but it is not a guarantee. The best way to make a request is to call Disney Reservations at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) or call the resort directly at (407) 939-1000 ten days before your trip. They can note the request on your reservation.

I hope this helps, David. Have a wonderful vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
