Hello I have reserved one of my fast passes for the fireworks at magic kingdom. This allows me viewing from the rose garden. In your opinion is this worth it? How about view from Tomorrow Land terrace dessert party? Which is better? Thanks,

    Colleen:

Scoring a coveted FastPass+ for the Magic Kingdom fireworks comes with some major pros but only two cons in my opinion. Let's look at the pros:

    • You can show up as late as 15 minutes before the fireworks begin and have a "seat." If you're like my family, we like to spend every minute we can enjoying the attractions.
    • With FP+, you don't have to sit for an hour to get a viewing spot for the fireworks. If you have young children, there is nothing that can bring on a melt down and ruin a day at the park like waiting on a hard sidewalk for the fireworks, or worse, standing in the middle of Main Street while folks jockey for a spot.
    • Many sit on the grass in the rose garden to watch the fireworks with the FP+, almost like a picnic. And there's plenty of room for folks to spread out, a totally different atmosphere than what I have found on Main Street awaiting the fireworks.
    • The angled "view" is similar to what you'll find at the Terrace Dessert Party. The FP+ is free and provides you a similar saved spot.

The two cons are the fact that having a fireworks FP+ locks you out of getting any more FP+ at the kiosks or on your MyDisneyExperience mobile app after you've spent your allotted ones. ‚ÄčThe second con is as you suggest: the view is not right in front of the castle. Certain side "sprays" may lose their impact.

If you have children who won't know the difference in a front view and a side view and you are not going during a holiday period where access to more FP+ is an absolutely necessity, I would recommend the FP+. But if you're going during a busy time of the year like Spring Break, summer or Thanksgiving through New Year's, I'd splurge on the Terrace Dessert Party to allow you to use your FP+ for other options.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation.
