Can we reserve fasspass for Disneyland the same as Disney world?

Hiya, Tanis, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited for you to experience the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth!

While the Disneyland Resort has many similarities to the Walt Disney World Resort, there are also several key differences. Disney FASTPASS Service is one of those differences. Unlike FastPass+ at Walt Disney World Resort, you’re unable to make FASTPASS selections ahead of time at the Disneyland Resort. Instead, FASTPASS selections can’t be made until you’ve entered the theme parks. If you add Disney MaxPass to your ticket, you’ll be able to start making FASTPASS selections on your phone as soon as you enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. This is a big time-saver, especially when you’re park hopping. Using MaxPass, you can make a FASTPASS reservation for an attraction inside Disneyland Park while you’re still in line for an attraction at Disney California Adventure Park. Talk about making the most of your Disney day!

Even though you can’t make FASTPASS reservations ahead of time, you can still map out your “must-do” attractions, parades, and shows ahead of time. Just find your arrival date on the Entertainment Schedule, and get planning! Keep in mind that this schedule is normally updated about six weeks ahead.

If you decide to add MaxPass to your park ticket, here’s a simple step-by-step list of instructions to follow: First, download the Disneyland app . Click on “My Tickets,” then select the “+” sign in the upper right corner. Select “Link Tickets & Passes.” Scan the barcode for each ticket you’d like to link, or enter the ticket ID numbers manually. Once you’re inside the parks, tap “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass.” The next screen will prompt you to make a FASTPASS party. If your tickets are already linked, they’ll show up here. Select or deselect which tickets to use for each attraction, and you’re all set!

There are so many exciting experiences and attractions coming to the Disneyland Resort this summer… from the upcoming opening of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind on Pixar Pier, to the recently debuted outdoor musical production, “Tale of the Lion King,” there’s a little something for everyone! And, starting June 24, 2019, Guests will be able to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge without a reservation!

Wishing you a vacation of a lifetime at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
