    Cecilia from Buenos Aires Asked

have reservations tea at the grand floridian 2 pm and will go from there to MVMCP . how shoud we deal with parking? park at grand floridian and get monoriel to MK or park at TTC and go by monoriel to GF. My 76 year old father is best with shortest walking

Hello, Cecilia, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Getting around the resort is always something I love to do, because Walt Disney World transportation has it all covered for me! From Disney’s Magical Express upon arrival at MCO airport, to monorails, busses and water crafts; it’s easy to find my way around.
Typically, guests that are not staying at a particular hotel, such as Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, will only have three hours of complimentary parking in those resort lots. Since you will be going to Magic Kingdom after your tea appointment, I would park at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC, for short) and ride the monorail to Grand Floridian. It’s easy to find the “resort monorail” rather than the Magic Kingdom Express line for your proper stop. That being said, once you pay for parking at a theme park, did you know that you can park hop and show the same parking pass for the whole day? You’re already paid for!
I think your Father will be okay with the short walk to the parking lot trams, the short walk through security to the monorail platform (no stairs, only ramps) and then stepping off the monorail into the Grand Floridian lobby; it’s fairly direct. Remember that due to volume and travel you should always allow plenty of time to travel between the TTC, Magic Kingdom and resorts. Use the My Disney Experience Mobile App for great travel time estimations and further directions. Have a magical visit, and please let me know if I can be of any more help. ~ Lindsey P.
