Have reservations Sept. 9-14, 2012 at CBR. Thinking about switching to POFQ for the smaller siZe, but don't want to compromise only have 1 pool option & don't want to miss out on anything! Kids ages 3 1/2 & 2. What would our best bet be? Thanks

    Megan,

When our son was young, we found Port Orleans French Quarter to be absolutely wonderful for our family. The small size of the resort makes it so much easier to navigate with little ones in tow - especially when you are tired after a day of touring in the parks. Caribbean Beach Resort is sprawling.

Early September sees light crowds so you'll be fine with just one pool. However, note that if you do plan to spend a lot of time swimming that the pool facility at Caribbean Beach has more options such as a zero entry depth and a water play structure that looks like a pirate ship. The pool slide at Port Orleans French Quarter is perfectly suited to small children and the pool area is charming.

At Caribbean Beach, it's unlikely that you would utilize the other pools as they are "quiet" pools without fun features such as slides, etc. Usually the kids will want to go to the feature pool.

I also love the Sassagoula boat transportation to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans. And you'll find the rooms more newly renovated.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either choice for the reasons noted above!
