We have reservations to build light sabers at Savi's workshop on our upcoming trip. Will the completed light sabers fit into any size locker or can we set them for package pickup in order not to haul them all over the parks the rest of the day?

    Bright suns, Kelly!

The Gatherers at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers are ready to help you learn the ways of the Force. I recently witnessed my son build a lightsaber with the help of the Gatherers. It was the highlight of his experience at the Black Spire Outpost!

You will have a few options available for taking care of your new lightsaber. You may take advantage of complimentary delivery of your purchase to your Disneyland Resort Hotel or free package check service at select locations. You may ask one of the Gatherers about these services when you transfer your credits at the cashier. You’ll also want to keep your receipt safe to ensure eligibility for your new lightsaber on the day of purchase.

The lockers available to rent inside the park appear to be too small for the lightsaber blades. But a lightsaber blade should fit OK in an extra-large or jumbo locker located outside the parks. I would suggest removing the blade of your lightsaber to make it more compact. To do so, gently press the blade in to the hilt and twist to unlock and remove it. Your lightsaber blade is about 31 inches long plus an additional connector that is 3.25 inches long that inserts into the hilt.

I have also seen many guests simply keep their lightsabers with them as they journey through the parks after returning from a galaxy far, far away. The Gatherers kindly provide a padded carrying case with your purchase. The case can be used to protect your new Jedi weapon while you enjoy the Disneyland Resort.

Before your visit to Batuu, be sure to download the free Play Disney Parks app. The included Star Wars: Datapad helps you explore the Black Spire Outpost and immerse yourself even more in your own Star Wars story. Also, Batuuan food is amazing! I can't wait to take another bite out of a Ronto Wrap or order a refreshing drink from Oga's Cantina.

    ‘Til the spire, Kelly!
