We have reservations for breakfast at the Tusker house at 8:00 am before the park opens and are staying at Pop Century. Is there a early morning bus that can take us to the park before it opens or do we have to find other transportation to get there.

    Hey, Carrie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Starting your day by joining Donald Duck for a Safari breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant in Harambe Village is WILDly exciting. You are in for an African intercontinental treat.

For early dining reservations, buses begin running earlier than 45 minutes before theme park opening. Please check with the concierge at Disney's Pop Century Resort for a definitive time the night before your reservation. We have used Walt Disney World Bus Service many times to make early dining reservations and you need not worry.

It should take about 40 minutes to get from your hotel room door at Disney's Pop Century to Africa if you are on a direct bus. Many times, to conserve resources, the early morning bus will stop at several hotels to pick up other Guests.

When you arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park before the theme park officially opens, look for Cast Members with signs for “early dining reservations and tours." You will need to check in with them. They will look for your name on a list before allowing you inside the park. I suggest you print off a copy of your reservation or make a screenshot and carry it with you in case your name is not on the list.

Disney Dad Tip: If you finish early, see if you can get in line for popular attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain or get some great photos before the rest of the Guests are allowed inside. The Tree of Life is majestic in the early morning.

Carrie, enjoy making and eating many Magical Memories!
