We have reservations for the Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria al Forno at 10:05. Should we take the bus directly to the Boardwalk, or to Epcot gate and walk? How far is the walk, and would we have time to meet a character or do ride before breakfast?

    Hi Linda,

I am glad that you are trying the new Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. It looks like a fun way to start the day!

I am going to answer your question assuming that you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel. There are not direct buses from the resorts to Disney's BoardWalk. You could head to Epcot and walk; however, please note that Disney transportation will drop you off at the main gate of Epcot. To get to Disney's BoardWalk, you will need to enter and walk through Epcot to the International Gateway exit at the back of the park. I would budget at least 30 minutes for this walk. As you point out, you may be able to take in an attraction along the way. I think that this is reasonable assuming a 9:00 a.m. opening for Epcot. I would suggest that you make a Disney FastPass+ selection as early as you can for an attraction, and be sure that you are at the entrance to Epcot at least 30 minutes before opening time to get in as soon as you can. Be sure to check the Walt Disney World theme park hours to find out the opening time for Epcot that day, as well as if there are Extra Magic Hours that day. Also note that using this plan, even if you are only walking through Epcot, you would need theme park admission for Epcot.

Another possibility if you prefer not to walk through Epcot is to head first to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you do not need to enter a theme park to get to Disney's BoardWalk. You can either take a short boat ride or a walk to Trattoria al Forno. I would budget about 20 to 30 minutes for either of these.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Linda!
