I have a reservation at a Disney World Resort and have made my dinning and fast pass reservations. If I cancel my resort reservation to stay off site (there is a chance I can stay for free), will I lose my fast pass and dinning reservations for my group?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Valerie!

You must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, especially since your dining and FastPass+ plans have already been made. Well done!

Your Walt Disney World advanced dining reservations are linked to your My Disney Experience account, rather than your WDW Resort reservation. Guests are welcome to make dining reservations 180 days in advance; those staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel have the added benefit of being able to make dining reservations for the length of their stay, 180 days prior to check-in. As such, your dining reservations will remain intact in your MDE account.

Your FastPass+ plans are a bit more complicated. FP+ plans are connected to the park ticket linked in your My Disney Experience account. Thus, if you have a package through WDW that came with tickets as well as your resort accommodations, I would contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and ask what your options may be. Be sure to check cancellation policies, too.

If you have tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account that are not part of a package, those tickets will remain in MDE even if you cancel your resort reservation. Remember guests staying in a WDW resort hotel are able to make FastPass+ plans 60 days in advance of check-in (with valid park ticket), while those not staying in a WDW resort hotel can do so 30 days in advance. Should you cancel your resort reservation within the 30 day window, those FP+ plans should remain intact.

Send more questions as you plan, Valerie; we love to help!
