When you make a reservation for dining and they want your credit card information do they charge your card immediately? Or do you pay the night of the dinner? Thank you, Eileen

    Hi Eileen!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Whenever we make a dining reservation at Walt Disney World Resort, we are required to provide our credit card details to secure the reservation.  The credit card will not be charged, however, unless we fail to cancel the reservation less than 24 hours in advance, or if we are "no shows".  If that happens, an automatic charge will be made to the credit card of around $10 per Guest (this amount is subject to change).  We would settle our payment for dinner after we have finished our meal, and we do not have to use the credit card on file to do this.  We could choose to pay by using our MagicBand (which charges straight to our hotel account), or use another credit card, or one of the Disney Dining Plans, or cash, or Disney Gift Card if the restaurant accepts them.

The exception to this rule is the few restaurants and dinner shows that require pre-payment in advance.  These include Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park; Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
