    Pang from MN Asked

am I required to tip on the cruise or is tip going to be automatically included at the end?

    Welcome aboard, Pang!

Sailing with Disney Cruise Line is so magical, and a really big part of what makes it so special for my family is the group of Cast Members that we encounter onboard. It sounds super cliche, but they honestly do go "above and beyond" for us every single time! When we get home from our Disney cruises, and go out for dinner elsewhere, the difference is so obvious, we always look at each other and realize how much we miss our favorite dining servers from the ship!

Traditionally, gratuities are paid to the following Cast Members:
Dining Server: $4 per night, per person (including kids)
Assistant Dining Server: $3 per night, per person (including kids)
Head Server: $1 per night, per person (including kids)
Stateroom Host: $4 per night, per person (including kids)

These tips can either be prepaid before you sail or simply charged to your stateroom account toward the end of the sailing. Should you want to change your tips, as my family and I often do because we always encounter such amazing service we want to add a bit extra, you're welcome to do so by visiting Guest Services.

A night or two before you depart, you'll receive tip envelopes and printed tickets with each of these Cast Members names who have served you. The tear off cards note how much you've tipped. Just tuck those into the envelopes to present to these Cast Members before you leave, and if you want to add more, either bring those to Guest Services to do so, or just tuck some extra cash in if you'd prefer.

I hope that helps as you get ready to sail, Pang! I just know you'll receive excellent service onboard and be so thrilled with the truly spectacular Cast Members that work with Disney Cruise Line! Have such fun!
