What are the required documents for kids?

    Ahoy, Javier!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Have you planned a Disney Cruise Line vacation for you and your family or are you thinking of planning one? Yay! There's so much fun for all ages onboard a Disney Cruise! The Youth Clubs onboard each of Disney's four vessels give the kiddos their own special areas of the ship to enjoy and make friends in.

Currently, children who are U.S. citizens, traveling with their parents aboard Disney Cruise Line itineraries that are leaving from and returning to the same U.S. port, need to bring a state-issued birth certificate as their proof of citizenship. It's so important to be sure you have the correct identification for everyone in your family. Before setting sail, I highly recommend looking over the Passports & Travel Documentation information.

Another idea to consider is getting valid passports for everyone in your family. Although Disney Cruise Line does not require them for every itinerary, there are so many benefits to having passports during your cruise! If there's an unexpected emergency while visiting another country, your family will need valid U.S. passports to fly home. We ordered my son his first U.S. passport for his inaugural Disney Cruise when he was 6 months old! It gives us piece of mind that we all have one while sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey (and his passport picture is adorable)!

Please sail back to ask us more excellent questions while you plan you future cruise!
