    Carmen from NY Asked

How can I rent a scooter for my grandfather?

    Hi Carmen,

You are a super sweet granddaughter to plan ahead for your grandfather!

ECVs are available for rent at each of the theme parks. Quantities are limited & advanced reservations are not accepted - they are rented on a first come basis. I'd recommend getting to the parks early to ensure you are able to obtain one. For rental cost & rental locations, click here. Prices are always subject to change without notice.

ECVs cannot leave the park from which they were rented. If you hop to another park the same day, retain your receipt to show at the next park to get another ECV at no additional charge - if available.

If you'd like to guarantee that he will have an ECV at the parks or needs assistance outside the theme parks during your trip, you may want to consider renting one from an outside source. Buena Visa Scooters is one such vendor - www.buenavistascooters.com.

If your Grandfather has never used an ECV before, they take a little getting used to - especially in crowds like at WDW. I'd suggest going to a store that offers them for customers & practice. It will make things go a lot more smoothly once he is at WDW.

Some attractions allow Guests remain in their ECV to enjoy. Others require Guests transfer from an ECV to wheelchairs (they will have courtesy wheelchairs at those attractions). There are some attractions that require Guests to be mobile to board the ride vehicles. For a list, visit the Mobility Disabilities section on the WDW website by clicking here.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
