can i rent a double stroller through the DVC

    Hi John and Welcome Home!

I am a big proponent of having a stroller, even for older children, while vacationing at Walt Disney World. After a few days, even kids who don’t require a stroller at home may enjoy a quiet and safe place to relax and ride around the theme parks. On our last trip, on a busy day at the Magic Kingdom, we logged an amazing 8 miles of walking!

Currently, there is not a way to rent strollers via Disney Vacation Club, nor is there a stroller discount available for Members. If you are looking to rent a stroller for your vacation, you have a few options. You may rent a single or double stroller at any Walt Disney World theme park or Downtown Disney. You may rent on a per-day basis, or you can purchase a length of stay rental. The length of stay rental does offer a discount on the price per day, and you would simply show your receipt each day you need to pick up your stroller. These strollers are only for use in the theme parks or at Downtown Disney, so you would not be able to take them back to your hotel at night.

An alternative is to rent a double stroller from a private company. There are several that are Disney Featured Providers to choose from. I recommend Magic Strollers for great customer service. You can have the stroller delivered to your Disney Vacation Club Resort prior to check-in and you simply leave it with Bell Services for pick-up when you check-out. I like the fact that you then have access to the stroller for use at your resort when headed to the pool or for walking back from the bus stop with tired and heavy children at the end of a busy day. I also find that renting from a private company is better for my budget.

Whichever you choose, I’m sure your kiddos will thank you for giving tired little feet a break!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
