    Dawn from IL Asked

I am registering my daughter and I through Varsity for Summit. It is telling us we will get either All-Star or Pop Century. There are several All-Star resorts so what does that mean? Which All-Star Resort?

    Hi Dawn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that your daughter and you will be at the Walt Disney World Resort!

It sounds as if we have a cheerleader in our midst. I suggest that you contact a cast member with group reservations at 407-939-1942. Specify that you are with the Summit Varsity All Star Championship Competition (if that is correct) and they may be able to find the group code for you. With that code, they can identify the associated resorts and group pricing information. I just called today to get group pricing for a conference we are attending this summer.

Once you make your resort reservation, be sure to purchase park tickets and make dining reservations. Since you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will be able to make your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance. With Fast Pass+, you can reserve ride times for up to three attractions per park per day with valid theme park tickets.

Dining reservations are also important, especially if you are traveling with the rest of the squad. If you decide not to purchase theme park tickets, there are also quite a few restaurants at Disney Springs. The Edison is my new favorite.

Dawn, if you do decide to stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, request one of the refurbished rooms. They are quite lovely and have good storage space. Sending pixie dust to your daughter and her team. I spent several years coaching cheerleaders and know how nerve wracking those competitions can be!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
