Hi, I've just registered to Goofy's Challenge 2015 and I plan to race with my daugher (using the appropriate cart). She will be 1 year old at the time. Is this allowed? Are there specific spots I can schedule to meet with friends along the race?

    Greetings, Tatiana!

Congratulations on your decision to participate in the 10th anniversary of Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge. This 39.3 mile journey will be complete with an all new anniversary medal.

Unfortunately, child carts, strollers and children are not allowed on the course under any circumstance, so you will not be able to run while pushing your princess. It's for the safety of all involved.

As far as locations for your friends to spectate while you are running, there are a number of different spots along the course, within the theme parks and near the finish line where your friends will be able to view you. To get some ideas of locations, select the highlighted link to be directed to the runDisney website. From there, select the Spectator Tab and then select Viewing Your Runner. I think the best location is on Main Street U.S.A in the Magic Kingdom. Being able to stand in the shadow of Cinderella's Castle while cheering on nearly 25,000 runners will be a great experience for your friends. Just make sure they arrive early to get a good spot to stand.

Another suggestion would be to purchase a chEAR Squad Gold package. This package includes reserved grandstand seating at the finish-line, hot & cold beverages and a private restroom.

I hope this helps, Tatiana! Please do not hesitate to ask me any additional questions you might have as you prepare for the 2015 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna®. I am here to help make your race experience as magical as possible!

    Happy Training!
