Hi! I just registered for the 1/2 during the marathon weekend-I registered as a guest w/out creating an account. Can I create an account now or link it to my existing myDisney account? My first run ever, so excited it's a runDisney event!!! Thank you!

Welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney, Jennifer!

I'm excited to hear you will be joining us in January for your first runDisney race event. Every mile is magic and I'm here to help answer your questions as you plan and prepare.

You do not need to worry about creating an account if you don't want to. The "account" you are referring to when you completed your registration is an Active.com account. They are the company that processes race registrations for organizations all over the world and have no affiliation with the Walt Disney brand of companies. Having an account with Active.com is completely up to you.

While it is currently not possible to link a race registration to your My Disney Experience Account, that is a genius idea! Should Disney begin processing race registrations for runDisney events, that may become a possibility. Keep your "Ears" crossed that technology happens at some point.

I hope this helps to clarify your question, Jennifer! And please do not hesitate to reach out to me as you begin planning your first runDisney-cation!
