    Jason from CA Asked

Hi! I registered for the Disneyland Half Marathon a while back. Now I'm thinking of going for a bigger challenge! Is there a way to upgrade to the Double Dare?

    Hi Jason!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I actually did this exact same thing for Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend! I had originally registered for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon then decided later to take on the two races and upgrade to the Pixie Dust Challenge!

For changing your race distance, runDisney will allow you to transfer your registration within the same race weekend as long as you are going to a longer race distance and it is still available for registration. When I check at the moment, registration is still open for the 5th Anniversary Disneyland Double Dare! What you will do is actually register for the challenge, then contact runDisney and they will credit you for the original registration, less a $45 transfer processing fee. You must register for the newer distance before they will refund you for your initial registration. For Tinker Bell they sent me a quick form that I filled out with my name and contact information, plus my confirmation number for both registrations. While it may not always be the case, when I did this I received my refund within 48 hours! To contact runDisney you can either call 407-939-iRun or email them via this contact page

Congratulations on taking on the challenge! Please let me know if you have any other questions before your race.
