    Melissa from MO Asked

Must I be registered as a Castaway Club member in order for my children to attend the Children themed clubs and get a wrist band?

    Ahoy, Melissa!
The Disney Imagineers created some of the most imaginative and innovative spaces on the high seas for all the Mouseketeers who sail with Captain Mickey and his crew! No matter which Disney ship you choose for your magical adventure, the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab will be available for all sailors ages 3-12. My children have spent hours enjoying these amazing spaces, and it's hard to get them to leave even at closing time!
The Oceaneer Club and Lab does provide an "Oceaneer MagicBand," for all Guests who check-in for the secured programming. The bands are required to check-in and out and to help the counselors track your child's location when you arrive to pick up. The bands are given out either in the port or on the ship once the child is registered. There is a small circular security clasp that keeps the band locked so it cannot be removed until the final night of the cruise. My son likes to hold on to his band as a souvenir, so we always pay the nominal fee to keep it.
The Castaway Club is a free club you are automatically enrolled in once you have completed your first enchanted journey with Disney Cruise Line. Membership includes an earlier booking window for onboard activities, Port Adventures, a free gift in your stateroom and other perks depending on your level-Silver (1-5 completed cruises), Gold (6-10 cruises) and Platinum (over 10 cruises).

    Have a magical day!
