    Sydney from ON Asked

In regards to my previous question: If I associate one magicband to a credit card separate from the one used for the room, does the card need to be present or can it be called in? Or, can the attached card be a refillable visa debit card?

    Welcome BACK, Sydney!

I was once the friend who was invited to come along on a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a friend's family, so on behalf of your daughter thank you so much for gifting her these upcoming memories of a lifetime!! Although, those were the days before MagicBands, and everything is now so much easier for both the host parents and the parents of the invited friend.

To associate any additional credit card to a MagicBand other than the initial card that booked the total reservation, the new card would need to be presented in person to the front desk Cast Members of your Disney Resort Hotel, and only traditional credit cards may be linked to MagicBands. However, you certainly could send her with a Disney Gift Card in the total amount of what she's allowed to spend and use that to pay off any charges made from her band on the host family's credit card. (The host family would still be able to set a spending cap on her band to ensure that she doesn't have too much fun.)

Disney Gift Cards can be found in most grocery, big box, drug, and warehouse club stores in your own town. You can also purchase either a physical or electronic Disney Gift Card through the ShopDisney.com website where you'll have over a hundred different design options. And for a really fun idea, you could purchase one for her through Disney Floral and Gifts that would be delivered to her upon her arrival. This way it could serve as her spending money and as a thoughtful 'Have a Great Time!' gift from you!

I hope this helped, Sydney, and We'll See Your Daughter Real Soon!
