In regards to dning time, what is advantage of the first vs. the second seatings?

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Typically you can expect your dining time to be either 5:45 p.m. (early seating) or 8:15 p.m. (late seating).  The menu, theme, service will be the same regardless of your dining time - and the evening entertainment runs twice each night so guests have the opportunity to see the show either before or after their meal.

There are a few notable differences.  First of all, you tend to have a larger number of children at the first seating - and those children that dine in the second seating have the advantage of utilizing the "dine & play" service where a youth counselor meets the children at 9:00 p.m. at the dining location to escort them back to the clubs.  This is nice because it enables parents to leisurely finish their meal while the kids play.  Children must be registered in the youth programming to take advantage of this service.

It is important to keep in mind that the early dinner seating may conflict with some shore excursions, and therefore may not be a desirable dining time if you plan on taking full advantage of your time in port.

One other notable difference that those with the earlier dining time will be assigned the early breakfast times on debarkation day (typically between 6:30-7:00 a.m.) whereas the later dining time will secure you a later breakfast (typically between 7:45-8:15 a.m.).

    I hope this helps!
