any recommendations for character dining? Have the DDP, would prefer it to be for dinner and have 3 boys and a girl--anything that will make everyone happy?

There are several character dining experiences that are appropriate for any age and any gender. The classic character meal is Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary resort. You'll find Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto there. The atmosphere is very festive and the large buffet line means there are plenty of choices for even the pickiest of eaters.

Another good dinner choice for a group of your configuration would be the Garden Grill in the Land pavilion at Epcot. Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale preside here. My kids especially enjoy this restaurant because the entire dining room moves while you are eating. The dining area is on a giant turntable that spins (veeery slowly) around the pavilion. The scenery is constantly changing and you get to see into the Living with the Land ride while you eat. Lots of fun!
