Recommendations for a baby's 1st birthday visit and how to get to meet characters. She loves Elsa and Minnie Mouse.

Hi there, Lizeth! Oh my gosh, I am so excited that you are taking your little one to the Disneyland Resort for her first birthday and her fist visit! Many magical memories are in the making for you and your daughter.

Meeting characters has always been a favorite activity for my daughter. The best way to find out when and where your favorite characters are meeting Guests is to use the Disneyland app. There is a "Characters" tab at the top which will show you a map of the parks with a Mickey Mouse symbol designating that a character is meeting in that location. Or you can switch to the list view to see all the characters that are meeting that day.

For Minnie Mouse, your best bet (and the spot for the cutest pictures) would be to meet Minnie at her house in Mickey's Toontown. She meets here all throughout the day and and you can even walk around her house and check out her adorable decor. Also, for a bit of extra magic, head to Mickey's Toontown a little before it opens - which is usually an hour after general park opening. Sometimes Mickey and the gang all come out to the gates to greet Guests and open this part of the park. My daughter got to walk all the way in hand-in-hand with Goofy the last time we were there. It was absolutely precious!

For Elsa, you will want to venture over to Disney California Adventure Park to the Animation Building. You will meet Anna and Elsa here and perhaps even Kristoff and Olaf if they are meeting on the day you are there. The line is inside the building and is a great way to cool off on a hot day.

I hope this helps. Wishing your daughter a magical first birthday!
