Would you recommend using the luggage tags that come with the Magical Express packet? I have a concern of bags being lost, how do you know your bag has been picked up by the Disney service? What happens if you bag doesn't arrive at the airport?

    Hi Leslie!

Thanks for writing!  How exciting that you have a Walt Disney World vacation right around the corner.  While it sounds almost too good to be true, I'm here to allay your concerns about how convenient Disney's Magical Express is.  This complimentary transportation to and from Orlando International Airport and luggage service truly makes one of the most stressful parts of a family vacation a piece of cake.  Domestic passengers who are scheduled to arrive between 5am and 10pm can bypass baggage claim (yippee!) and head right for their luxury coach to their Disney Resort.  You simply need to affix your luggage tags (which will be shipped to you 2-3 weeks before your trip) to your bags before boarding your plane, and head on board.  When it is time to leave, you will receive a transportation notice in your resort room the evening before your departure with the time your coach will depart.  The bus generally leaves several hours before your departing flight to allow ample time for you to arrive.  In addition, if you are using a participating airline, you can check your luggage onto your flight at many Disney Resorts, allowing you to bypass the baggage area at the airport.  (Another win from my perspective!)

While I call sunny Florida home now, I traveled to Walt Disney World from New Jersey for many years and never had any issues with lost or delayed luggage using Disney's Magical Express.  It is a wonderful service and saves a significant amount on taxis or shuttles to and from the airport.  I am a huge fan and highly recommend giving it a try!

    Have a wonderful trip!
