    Leslie from OH Asked

Would you recommend staying on property or off property? There is about a $1,000 difference between the 2 options. Is staying off property a really bad idea? I am not concerned about the dining package.

    Hi Leslie -

I'm a big fan of staying on property, BUT I also have small children who need to take a break in the afternoon.  Staying close to the parks allows me to be able to conveniently go back to my resort, rest for a couple of hours, and come back feeling refreshed and ready to have a great evening.  Magical Express is another great benefit of staying on the resort.  I also like being able to take advantage of the extra magic hours that are available to resort guest.

Having said that, saving $1,000 on a family vacation is HUGE!  It's not a bad idea at all.  There are many nice resorts or condos off-property that can save you a lot of money.  The important thing is being able to plan a vacation that your family will enjoy and create lasting memories of the fun you had together -- not the bills you had after!

    Hope this helps.
