Would you recommend staying at a Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel? Why or Why not?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joe! Thanks for stopping by with your question about Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels!

My family and I have stayed on and off-site throughout the years during our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. There are definitely positives to staying off-site! Many are close to the theme parks, can provide a complimentary light breakfast and transportation to and from Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. They can also be less expensive, especially if you use reward points that the hotel companies can sometimes offer.

With all of the positives above, there are some negatives. The transportation to and from the theme parks can be limited and sometimes inconvenient. You also cannot enjoy benefits like Extra Magic Hours, additional time in the theme parks, exclusively reserved for Disney Resort hotel guests and the ability to make FastPass+ selections 60 days before your visit. FastPass+ is a service included in the price of your theme park ticket that helps reserve your place in line for your favorite attractions ahead of time.

Complimentary MagicBands, transportation to and from the theme and water parks and Disney Springs and just the overall convenience of being closest to the parks, are some of the other benefits you can enjoy as a Disney Resort hotel guest

Joe, a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is a magical thing. No matter where you stay! Whatever works best for your family and your pocketbook is what you should do. Feel free to stop by again with additional questions.

Helping you figure out the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
