Would you recommend going to breakfast, lunch, or dinner for character meals? We have narrowed it down to Cinderella's Royal Table, Winnie the Pooh at MK, and Donald's Safari at AK. Going the first week in December, with 4 and 3 year old boys. Thanks!!!!

If your goal is to save money, then stick with character breakfasts.

However, when making your Advance Dining Reservation, be sure to ask for the first available seating. I would use this strategy for non-Extra Magic Hour days. For example, during our June vacation we have an 8:05 a.m. Advance Dining Reservation at Donald's Safari Breakfast in the Animal Kingdom. By the time the park opens at 9 a.m. we should be ready to begin touring.

Otherwise, I would not spend your precious crowd-free mornings in a restaurant. Definitely do not book a breakfast during any Extra Magic Hour time as this defeats the purpose of the extra time in the parks.

Alternatively, you could book the last seating for a breakfast. Tour in the morning for a couple of hours and then enjoy your meal.

I like lunch or dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table because the atmosphere seems too grand for just a pre-plated breakfast meal. Although… I once had a lovely breakfast here with my husband at a window table overlooking Fantasyland.

Donald's Safari is only offered at breakfast. Winnie the Pooh is fine for any meal. We've been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. See when it best fits in to your touring plans and consider the price differences between the meals too.

Have a fabulous time with your boys!
