I recently tried to make reservations for 4 at a character dinner and it was booked but when I did it for 6, there was a table. Is this common?

The restaurants do set aside larger tables for the larger groups in their reservation system to hopefully accommodate all families to have a fair chance at securing a dining time.  These larger tables usually go quickly since they have fewer so it is not common to find one when the smaller ones are booked but it is possible.
