    Jayana from NY Asked

I just recently moved to San Diego and I currently only have a temporary ID from the DMV until my card comes in the mail. Can I use this as proof of residency or do I need the physical card?

    Greetings, Jayana!

Congratulations on your big move, and welcome to the Golden State! I’m happy to report that yes, you can use your temporary ID from the DMV as proof of residency, whether you’re planning on purchasing the Disney Southern California Select Annual Passport, or the 3-Day SoCal Resident Ticket Offer! The address on your temporary ID will need to show your California ZIP code between 90000-93599 in order to qualify for the Southern California Select Annual Passport. If you’re interested in the SoCal Resident Ticket Offer, the address on your temporary ID will need to show your eligible residency within ZIP codes 90000-93599 or 21000-22999 for Northern Baja California residents.

Before you head to the parks, I recommend downloading the Disneyland App, which is a great resource for checking wait times, locating your favorite Characters, and even ordering food and drinks ahead of time. You can also choose to add Disney MaxPass to an Annual Passport, or the SoCal Resident Offer. I highly recommend MaxPass, since it allows you to download, save, and share all your photos from the day of your visit, and make FASTPASS selections directly from your phone while you’re in the parks.

It’s an exciting time at the Happiest Place on Earth right now! Be sure to check out the newly reimagined Pixar Pier, the brand-new Tropical Hideaway, and the festive Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration. You’re going to have a blast!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
