I recently loss about 15 lbs on Weight Watchers and am trying to figure out my upcoming WDW trips I would love to know how many points some of the entrees are at WDW restaurants. We are DVC members and have 3 trips planned for 2020 Thanks

    Hi Fran!

Congratulations, that’s supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Disney doesn’t publish nutritional information or Weight Watchers Points, but I do have a few suggestions. My mom is a diabetic, so we do give careful thought to what we eat while on our Walt Disney World vacations.

With Disney Vacation Club you will have at minimum a kitchenette in a Deluxe Studio, or a full kitchen in a 1 Bedroom or larger Villa. I recommend getting groceries delivered. We like Dizzy Dolphin Delivery, but there are many ways to order groceries including Disney's own service for Disney Vacation Club Resorts, Garden Grocer, or Instacart. Consider breakfast and maybe one other meal in your room with foods you are familiar with. My mom orders diabetic-friendly shakes to have each morning. You are allowed to bring in snacks with you, so order healthy items you can take into the parks to help you avoid temptation.

Using what you have learned in Weight Watchers will help you make good choices. My mom tries to avoid carbs and sugar, and we have learned at Table Service restaurants, it is a good idea to chat with our server. I would let them know you are following Weight Watchers and ask for recommendations. Mom has also found that occasionally the chef will come to speak and plan her meal with her. Restaurants have also been very accommodating with switching side dishes for healthier options or putting sauces on the side. For example, often she has been able to substitute the included rice or potatoes for a second serving of a vegetable.

While I am not a part of it, I did find a Facebook Page for people visiting Walt Disney World while on Weight Watchers, and you may find some good information in those types of groups. Additionally, a search of your favorite browser may help you find blog pages or articles from fellow Weight Watchers followers that offer recommendations, I came across a few myself!

Wishing you Membership Magic, Fran, and a healthy visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
