    James Asked

I recently amended my holiday dates through an external company, so instead of going away in June we are now going in september, however, I was wondering how can I update my plans on the my Disney experience app? Thank you

It’s great to see you hEAR today, James! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I know changing a holiday takes effort, but at Walt Disney World Resort, they try to make things as seamlessly easy for Guests as possible! I’ve had to change a reservation or two of mine in the past, and I still think about the wonderful Cast Members who helped take care of my family and I to make our vacation as magical as can be!

Good for you for being on top of things and having your reservation changed prior to calling and updating your plans! Since you took care of the first step, let’s dive into talking about updating all the fun you’ll be having at the Theme Parks! If you are working with a Travel Agent, be sure to check with them to see if they’ve already changed your plans for you and if the confirmation number is linked to your My Disney Experience account. When you’re working with an external company such as a travel agency, it can take a while, sometimes up to 72 hours to update plans on your My Disney Experience account. If your account is showing the old plans still, you may need to call and speak with a Cast Member over at the Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-7765 and a Cast Member will be happy to update it over the phone. The Cast Members at the Internet Help Desk are available from 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM EST, seven days a week. You can also choose the Live Chat option on the Walt Disney World Help Center. When you choose the “Chat” option,  select “Technical Help” from the drop-down menu. They will help get your new plans sorted out so you’re ready to have the most magical vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Fall is such a wonderful time to go to Walt Disney World Resort! I absolutely love the fall decorations all over the Theme Parks! Because you’re going in September, I encourage you to look up my favorite special-ticketed event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! There is a special fireworks show, along with special Disney characters, and my favorite parade of all time, Boo-to-You Halloween Parade! It is such a spook-tacular time!

James, I hope you’re looking into purchasing the Memory Maker to document all the memories you’re going to make. The pictures make the most wonderful souvenirs of the vacation. My family and I still go through ours and reminisce about all the fun we had!

Have the most enchanting vacation, James! We’ll see you real soon, pal!
