On a recent trip, we used the Quick Service Dining Plan. We loved this plan for the most part - except for the desserts. In the parks, chocolate or carrot cake were often the only options. We tired of those quickly. Is it possible to get fruit instead?

    Hi Vinnie,

I had to laugh at your comment about all of the desserts being either carrot cake or chocolate cake.  I've felt that way in the past.  While there aren't many counter service locations that offer fresh fruit as a dessert choice, it never hurts to ask.  The worst thing that will happen is they'll say, "no".  There are several restaurant options, however, that offer a little more selection than those two.

Hollywood Studios: Pizza Planet does offer apple slices as a dessert option.  Studio Catering Company has a marble cheesecake.  ABC Commissary has a strawberry parfait.

Animal Kingdom: Yak & Yeti has frozen lemonade.  If you happen to be on vacation when Picnic in the Park is offered, fresh fruit is a dessert option.

Magic Kingdom:  Pinocchio Village Haus has a strawberry yogurt and strawberry cheesecake.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons has multiple dessert selections.  Cantina de San Angel has paletas (popsicles) and churros.

In the food courts at various resorts, you may be able to substitute fruit for dessert.

Fresh fruit is available as a snack item at several locations throughout Walt Disney World.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
