Do you reccommend the dining plan for a family of 3 (child age 3 plus 2 adults)

Hi, Daniela! When friends and family ask me whether or not they should purchase one of the various Disney Dining Plans, I first ask them how they like to eat when they're on vacation. If dining is important to you and your family likes to eat  well on vacation, I recommend purchasing a DDP. However, if you want to cut a few corners and eat snacks that you bring or prepare meals in your villa, then you may need the flexibility of paying for your food as you go.

The DDPs were designed to allow for guests to not have to think of one more detail of their vacation while they are on vacation and the ability to buy an all-inclusive package -- park tickets, accommodations and dining. Therefore, if you like the aspect of not having to think of meals day-to-day and you enjoy trying various restaurants, I say, "Go for it!"

On the other hand, I have heard guests say that most of the plans include a lot of food on a daily basis and that some vacationers found it difficult sometimes to squeeze in all those meals and snacks during the allotted time. (As a family of six with growing teens, we personally have never experienced that "problem!")

So, figure out what appeals to you, and make sure you do your homework on deals and offers that are available during the time you're considering. Obviously, if you have the opportunity to experience a free dining promotion, your decision making is over!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
