Where is a reasonable place to stay for 2 parents and 4 kids (ages 14-2)? Husband wants to do Riverside-but we have stayed there with 5 and it is crowded but he likes the price point. I don't want to stay in a cabin or the value ones. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kerry!

I recommend going with Port Orleans Riverside.  You will need to get two connecting rooms, but I think that's the best way to go if you don't want to stay in a cabin at Fort Wilderness or in two connecting Value rooms.  Port Orleans is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort and in fact was recently voted as the best Disney Moderate Resort in an informal (and unofficial) poll of panelists on the Moms Panel.  However, the new Disney Art of Animation Resort is opening next year and that may change my opinion of where to stay; they will be offering family suites there.

Another option is to consider staying offsite or in Downtown Disney.  My family and I have always enjoyed staying in the DoubleTree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney.  However, if you do that, just remember that you won't have access to Disney's Magical Express, Extra Magic Hours, or Disney transportation to and from your hotel.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions.
