Hello! I am really thinking about DVC. Can you point me in a good direction to learn more. Planning s big trip in August Any insight into DVC appreciated. DS 9&13. I keep thinking we will out grow Disney. But there is do much besides parks.

    Hi Danelle,

There are a lot of resources out there to help you as you consider joining Disney Vacation Club.

I recommend going to the Disney Vacation Club website for information. From that site, you can receive a free DVD about becoming a member. Also, you can call 1-800-800-9100 to speak with a Disney Vacation Club Guide, who can answer your questions about becoming a Disney Vacation Club member, and will do so in a low pressure manner. I am not sure if you are considering becoming members before your August trip, but if not, please take the Open House tour when you are at Walt Disney World. During this tour, you will be able to see sample Disney Vacation Club Villas and meet with a Disney Vacation Club guide who will answer your questions. You can set up this tour by calling 1-877-790-TOUR (1-877-790-8687).

I have upon occasion wondered, as you are, will my family outgrow the parks; however, there is so much to do for teenagers at Walt Disney World now, that might not happen!  If it does, and let's be honest, some teenagers might not want to visit Walt Disney World with their parents, Disney Vacation Club offers so many possibilities. From the Adventurer Collection, through which you can use your points on Adventures by Disney trips all over the world, to the World Passport Collection which allows exchanges through RCI to exciting destinations world-wide, there are so many possibilities. Even if your children do go through a phase where they are not interested in Walt Disney World, you can use your points somewhere else for a while - and then come back to Walt Disney World when they have their own children and you can share the magic with a new generation.

If you do decide to join Disney Vacation Club, believe me when I say that it is truly magical the first time you hear those words pulling through the gate of your home resort, "Welcome home."
