We REALLY want to go to Disney. We live in Texas and have 2 kids. What's the cheapest way and best deals? It looks like we may never afford it.

    Hi Cory,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let me offer you some thoughts on planning for a Walt Disney World vacation on a budget. Do keep an eye on the Walt Disney World special offers page. This page shows the current deals and discounts that Disney is offering, and there are often great deals! These are sometimes percentages off of room rates, or special deals on packages.

Consider where you will stay on your vacation. Disney offers Value Resorts, which are resorts that are quite cost-effective but still come with all of the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, including complimentary MagicBands, transportation around Walt Disney World, complimentary standard parking at theme parks, Magical Express transportation to and from the airport, access to Extra Magic Hours, and many more. You can consider staying at a resort that is not at Walt Disney World; however, remember that then you would not have the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, and the convenience and cost-savings of these can add up.

My family likes to save some money on a Walt Disney World vacation on food. We always pack our own snacks and drinks to take into the park. As long as you do not carry in glass bottles or alcohol, you can do this. We also tend to only eat out one or two meals per day. We have a quick breakfast in our room before head into the theme parks, often have a big lunch at the theme park. We also save money on souvenirs with our daughter knowing she gets "one thing" on a Walt Disney World trip, and she has to carefully decide what this is.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Cory. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
