We just realized when we are at the Magic Kingdom we can simply take the Monorail back to Epcot then walk to the Boardwalk. On the nights Epcot closes earlier than MK, is there a path around since we will not be able to cut through?

    Hi Brett,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

Yes, you can absolutely get back to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn by taking the monorail from Magic Kingdom Park, switching over to the Epcot monorail at the Ticket & Transportation Center and then walking through Epcot to go through the International Gateway.

That being said, there are a few downsides to heading “home” that way. First, you can only walk through Epcot during its opening hours; if it’s already closed for the day, you won’t be able to walk through it and there is no path “around” the Park. Second, and most importantly, this transportation option involves a lot of walking and, potentially, a lot of waiting because you have to switch monorails. At the end of the night, I believe that bus transportation would be your quickest and most efficient option for travelling back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
