We just realized that our disney trip is during the princess marathon run in february 2017. Will the parks, rides and park transportation still run normally for others not in the marathon?

    Hi Sharon!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Yes!  Everything will be running normally for guests not participating in the runDisney events. The only day that traffic and/or parks will be affected is on Sunday, February 26, the morning of the half marathon.  That race begins at 5:30 a.m., so traffic patterns around Epcot and Magic Kingdom will be slightly modified. Disney buses will still be running and they have been through race weekends enough to have their alternate routes well-practiced.

Runners will also be running through a small part of Epcot, finishing in the Epcot parking lot until about 11 a.m.  If you want to avoid any race congestion, just avoid Epcot on that Sunday morning until mid-afternoon.

Saturday morning's race will also finish in Epcot but runners will be clear of the park before the park even opens.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
