I realize that WDW has adopted the "smoke free" law per-say.Would it be recommended to stay off site at a hotel/lodge that is more accepting of "smokers" or are there any onsite resorts that allow smoking (outside at the cabins, maybe)?

    Hi Debra,

Not to worry!  All Disney resorts have designated smoking areas.  When you check in, ask the cast member to point out on your resort map the locations of the designated smoking areas.

I would highly recommend staying on-site because there are so many benefits.  Some of these include the use of the transportation system and extra magic hours. But most of all for our family, it is a great part of the vacation experience to stay so close to the magic.

    Debra, have a wonderful vacation!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
