    Avery from UT Asked

I’ve been reading about and researching the fastpass and stroller pass. If one person out of a party of two (and a baby) has a fast pass, does the other person receive a stroller pass, even though they were not the one with the fast pass?

Hi there, Avery! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love helping Guests plan magical vacations to the Happiest Place on Earthm so I am thrilled to fill you in on how the Rider Switch Service works with FASTPASS.

For attractions with height requirements, you can obtain a Rider Switch ticket which allows one adult to ride the attraction while the other waits with the child or children who are not tall enough to ride or don't feel comfortable riding the attraction. After the first adult is finished riding, they switch places with the adult waiting with the child and that adult can ride that attraction without waiting in the normal queue.

If you happen to have a FASTPASS for the attraction, there are two ways you can go about riding. First, you can obtain FASTPASSSES for everyone in your party and not have to worry about Rider Switch at all. The adults would just take turns going through the FASTPASS queue. Or second, the first adult to ride the attraction can use a FASTPASS and the second adult can use the Rider Switch ticket to ride. In my experience, both parties do not necessarily need a FASTPASS in order to utilize Rider Switch. Keep in mind that both FASTPASSES and Rider Switch entitlements are now digital. They will scan your ticket or your Disneyland app to redeem your FASTPASS and your Rider Switch.

If you have any questions when you are at the parks, the Cast Members stationed at the attraction queue entrances are more than happy to help. Have a fabulous time at the Disneyland Resort!
