Been reading Q&A and im finding 2 diff. answers for the luggage w/ M.E One says do not get your luggage and bring it to the bus b/c this is inefficient and it would create a bottleneck. Then theres one that says this is the best way which is correct?

Hi, Patty! The correct answer really lies in what is most convenient and comfortable for you. For Magical Express, I love the ease and convenience of labeling my luggage with the yellow tags mailed to me by Disney's Magical Express (up to two weeks prior to my arrival). Once I check my luggage in curbside at my hometown airport, I won't see them again until after I arrive at my Disney Resort room. It really doesn't get any better than that! This is especially great if I have several pieces and don't want to have to wait on them at Orlando's baggage claim...then, lug them through the terminal on my way to the DME Welcome Center.

However, I've also had the situation where my trip was booked quickly, and I didn't have the chance to have the luggage labels mailed to me. In this case, I claimed my luggage and took it to the DME. The bus driver simply loaded my bags underneath the bus and off we went. (It took a little extra time, but it did not present a problem or a bottle neck.) Another situation in which I would suggest claiming your luggage first is if you need something in your checked baggage within three hours of your check-in.  The checked baggage through DME can take a while to arrive in your room -- which is fine if everything you need is in your carry-on luggage. However, I've had occasions where my dinner outfit is in my checked bags, and I opted to claim my bags and carry them with me. (Just keep in mind that it's always nice to bring some cash for that extraordinary service you're bound to receive from your DME driver!)

Just think through what bags you'll have, who will be traveling with you and whether they'll be able to help or hinder the process of getting through the airport! Then, leave the worrying to DME! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
