was reading on one of the MANY disney related sites that pop cent. has a place to go fishing....does anyone know about this and do they rent gear do i need a licence ect do they have life jackets to borrow forthe pool

    Hi Tabitha!

Although fishing is available at many of the resorts, Pop Century does not offer fishing excursions. Guests who wish to have that fishing experience, can go through Disney recreation and book a fishing excursion, which can cost from $230 for up to five persons, and include a guide, rod and reel, tackle, artificial and live bait and beverages. You can reserve a fishing excursion by calling (407) WDW PLAY. These excursions are available daily from several resorts including Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Old Key West and more, to name a few.If throwing a line is what you are looking for, you can have an awesome time by renting a canoe/boat at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You are able to fish with your own rod and reel at your hearts content. The cost for rental is $6.93 for canoe and $22.00 for a 12' sailboat, per hour. You can also reserve these by calling (407) WDW PLAY. Keep in mind that all fishing on Disney property is catch and release.

Have no fear, there are life vests available at all resort theme pools, quiet pools and at every water park. These vests are free for guest use with the sole request that they be placed back when not in use for other guests to use.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie
