I read WDW has birthday, anniversary and first visit buttons. Anything for retirement? We'll be in WDW in two weeks to celebrate our anniversary and my husbands retirement from the PD. Any pins for that?

It's so interesting you ask this. I was at WDW with my mother in February, just a few weeks after she had retired from decades as a nurse. She really wanted a "Just Retired" button to wear around the parks. Unfortunately there is no such thing.

A very nice cast member at the guest relations desk at Epcot told me that the free buttons available for guests are: birthday, anniversary, just married, first visit, and "Honorary Citizen."

While there is no free retirement button, there are often Disney trading pins for purchase that honor police in general. I'm thinking particularly of one I've seen for sale where Mickey is saluting a police officer. Perhaps you could surprise your husband with one of these to show him how much you appreciate his years of service and are looking forward to spending more time with him. I would ask a cast member for assistance at one of the larger pin trading stations (central Epcot or the Downtown Disney Marketplace) to help you find something appropriate.

    Happy anniversary AND happy retirement!
