I read somewhere that you can sign up your child to make candy at Goofy's at Downtown Disney. Is there any truth to this? And if so where do I get more information? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you're thinking of the "create your own" goodie options at Goofy's Candy Company.  Kids (and kids at heart) can create an indulgent sweet treat there.  They have cookies, pretzel rods, caramel apples, Mickey ear rice krispy treat, and marshmallows on a straw that can be dipped, spun, and drizzled with all sorts of sugary goodness.

To participate, you don't have to sign up; you simply walk in.  There are forms on the counter that you fill in with your name and then go down the list marking your choices.  You choose a starting point (cookies, marshmallows, pretzels, etc.) and then your choose the toppings you'd like.  You can select to have your treat dipped in dark, milk or white chocolate.  Toppings are plentiful and include things like: mini chocolate and white chocolate chips, Oreo cookie crumbs, rainbow sprinkles, crushed peanut butter cups, and chopped pecans.  You finish it off with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel.  As soon as you've made your selections you hand your list over to the Cast Member who will get to work creating your customized goodie.  You can even watch through the glass partition as it is being made.

My girls look forward to doing this during every trip we take.  It's a really fun way to satisfy your sweet tooth!
