Hi I read somewhere online that tipping Mouse keeping is no longer aloud. Is that true and if so when did it change?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mariann!

My family has had some truly magical interactions with and service from Mousekeeping, and I really appreciate your question and that you want to be sure you tip the wonderful Mousekeepers who take care of our needs so we can focus on fun, family, and relaxation!

We had a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation last month, and my family left a tip each day in our room. If you’d like to leave a tip for your Mousekeeper, it will be gratefully accepted, and is certainly still allowed at this time. Don’t forget that you can always call Mousekeeping from your room’s phone if you need anything in addition to or in between their daily services. I’ll never forget the time I was staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and I was solo parenting my Mouseketeers while my husband was away on military duty. I had a fast-asleep kiddo and wanted a cup of tea, but we had no tea in the room. I called Mousekeeping, and they came right away with a silver tray filled with teas for me. That is what I call magical service!

Mariann, I’m wondering if the article you read was talking about Disney’s new Service Your Way program, in which Guests at select value and moderate Walt Disney World Resort hotels may decline Mousekeeping in exchange for a Disney gift card. My friend and fellow Moms Panelist Priscila explained how Service Your Way works; if you’re interested, please check with your resort’s front desk Cast Members to see if it’s an option where you’re staying.

Enjoy every minute of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now, more than ever, it’s a fantastic time to visit, with so much to see, do, and taste around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
