i read somewhere that AKL offers restaurant tours...is this still true and are there any other places that do similar type tours? We have a young "chef" inn our family and it could be fun on a non-park day!

    Jambo Meg!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My children enjoy cooking too and we are always looking for ways to encourage them to learn more about different types cuisine. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a free Culinary Tour of Jiko - The Cooking Place and Boma - Flavors of Africa.

To attend, just simply show up at the Boma check-in area at 3:45 P.M. You do not need a Reservation; you will tour as a group with any other Guests who show up. The Culinary Representative for the Tour will share the history and cuisine of both Restaurants, and you may just get to sample some delicious African dishes during the Tour experience.

Wishing you and your little chef a magical Walt Disney World Resort visit! Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
