Hi Tricia,
You are correct! There is a new simulator inside Innoventions East at Epcot called the Sum of All Thrills.
This simulator seats up to two guests at a time and allows you to design you own rollercoaster and then take it for a spin. While this simulator is similar to the Cyber Space Mountain located at
Disney Quest, I personally like Cyber Space Mountain more. In both cases, you will have the opportunity to design your own ride and then take it for a spin, so the concept is the same, however I find Cyber Space more intense and the ride design is different.
The "vehicle" that you will be riding in is designed different as Sum of All Thrills feels like a simulator you are sitting in and twisting around, with a screen moving in front of you. Cyber Space Mountain's "vehicle" is more enclosed with a different style screen over you and to me it feels more like you are actually on the ride. The height requirement on Sum of All Thrills is 48" but 51" on Cyber Space Mountain.
While I enjoy Cyber Space more than Sum, Sum is certainly a fun attraction and something I will continue to visit in the future. Don't forget the one important difference is Sum of All Thrills is included in the price of your Epcot park ticket but you must purchase a Disney Quest ticket to enjoy Cyber Space Mountain.
Don't forget, if you are looking for the most intense ride possible, be sure to ask the Cast Member for help as they have a pre-programmed card with the highest intensity option. Have a great time!
